In 2020 Merras’ chairman Sheikh Ahmed was ranked 22 of the CW power list – a list of 100 most influential members of the Middle East’s construction industry. His Highness is a member of the Al Maktoum ruling family. Sheikh holds several government positions, such as the second vice-chairman of Dubai Executive Council Chairman, which formulates policies and strategies for the Emirate Dubai, of the Dubai Supreme Fiscal Committee, Chairman of the Economic Development Committee.
